Junior Blues Comp 5 Rules

Introduction

1. The Blues Sunday Stableford is held over the Spring and Summer and is comprises approximately 10 opportunities over the year for Junior Blues to submit cards in this competition. The Junior Blue with the best three stableford scores for the season is the winner and will receive a trophy at the end of the season.
2. If during the season a Junior Blue progresses to a WHS handicap he will, at that point, no longer be eligible to enter the Blues Sunday Stableford. However, if he has already accumulated 3 scores or more the best three will count towards their overall total.
3. Junior Blue handicaps are administered by the secretary. Current Blues handicaps are shown under the junior section on the club website.
Competition eligibility

1. You are eligible to enter this competition if you are a junior member of the Club with a Blues handicap.

Competition format

1. Stableford over 9 holes. Play to be off the blue tees, starting from the 1st tee only.

2. Each competitor’s Playing Handicap (for the purpose of deciding the competition’s results) will be 100% of his Blues handicap.

3. All scores in the competition should be submitted to the Secretary for handicap purposes and all scorecards must therefore be returned.

General competition rules

1. Before playing in the competition, all competitors must sign in on the computer, obtain a scorecard in the Professional’s shop. There is no entry fee for this competition.

2. Competitors may play outside the tee times reserved on the day of the competition, but must register before play on the computer. Such competitors may play with a marker but the marker must be a member of the Club and hold a Handicap Index.

3. On completion of their round, all competitors must deposit their scorecard in the official scorecards box; at this point they are deemed to have returned the card and no changes can be made to it. Competitors should also enter their scores on the computer scoring system.

4. The results of the competition will be processed by the Secretary and published on the Club website and on the Junior Team App.

Procedure in the event of ties

1. All ties for the overall competition will be resolved on the last 9 - 6 - 3 - 1 holes of the last qualifying card that is used as contributing to the best 3 cards submitted.
