Introduction of New Team Open Events for 2025
Dear Member,
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Team Clubhouse Open events for 2025. These events have been designed with several key objectives in mind, which we are excited to share with you:
Enhanced Member Experience:
Members will receive priority entry into these events, ahead of visitors. Should there be any remaining spaces after the early entry period, these will be made available to visitors at an increased price.
Team Formats:
The events will consist of 4-person teams, and all participants must have a current handicap. Each event will feature a twist or two along the way, ensuring a fun and engaging competition. Event formats will vary, including Texas Scrambles, Best 2 or 3 from 4, Waltz, Bramble Scrambles, and more.
Clubhouse Revenue & Member Value:
To support our food and beverage operations, each entry includes a one-course meal following your round. As these events are designed to assist with clubhouse revenue, there will be no option to enter for golf only. The cost for members to participate is £15, which covers the event expenses. Any surplus generated will be directed towards our Annual Prize Giving Night in November.
Maximizing Clubhouse Use:
We have scheduled these events for Monday afternoons, a quieter time on the course and in the clubhouse, ensuring minimal disruption to other members.
Prizes:
The first-place team in each event will win a 4-ball voucher at a premium local course. The first event will feature a 4-ball voucher for Sandmoor Golf Club.
The first event is scheduled for April 28th, 2025, in the afternoon. Please note that times are limited to avoid disrupting morning play and to allow sufficient time for the kitchen to prepare the post-round meals. To book your team, please use the IG app or website under the competitions section.
